Effect
"Dark Magician" + 1 Dragon monster Must be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Materials or with "The Eye of Timaeus". If this card is Special Summoned: Target any number of Spells in any GY(s) (min. 1); banish those targets, and if you do, this card gains 100 ATK for each card banished by this effect. If this card is destroyed: You can target 1 Spellcaster monster in your GY; Special Summon that target.
Regarding "This card can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon using the above cards as Fusion Material, or by the effect of 'The Eye of Timaeus'": * This is not treated as an effect. It is a method/procedure for Special Summoning this monster from the Extra Deck. * Both a Fusion Summon and a Special Summon by the effect of "The Eye of Timaeus" are considered proper ways to Special Summon this card. * As a general rule, this card cannot be Special Summoned by any other method. (Even if this card was Special Summoned by these methods and subsequently sent to the Graveyard or banished face-up, it cannot be Special Summoned by other effects.)
【Regarding the ① effect】
This is a Trigger Effect that can be activated in the Monster Zone.
This is a mandatory effect.
It is activated by targeting any number of Spell Cards (minimum 1) in your Graveyard and/or your opponent's Graveyard.
At the time of resolution, you perform the "banish those cards" action, and if you successfully banish at least one card, you perform the "this card gains ATK equal to the number of banished cards × 100" action.
The action of banishing the cards and the action of increasing the ATK are treated as occurring simultaneously.
If some of the targeted cards are no longer valid targets at the time of resolution, you still perform the effect for the remaining targeted cards.
【Regarding the ② effect】
This is a Trigger Effect.
If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can activate this effect in the Graveyard; if it is banished face-up, you can activate it while banished. (You can activate it at the location where it was first sent after being destroyed.)
This effect can also be activated during the Damage Step.
