Effect
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having exactly 5 FIRE monsters in your GY. When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do, both players take damage equal to half the original ATK of the destroyed monster. You can only use this effect of "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord" once per turn. If this face-up card leaves the field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn.
Regarding "This card cannot be Normal Summoned. You can only Special Summon this card if you have exactly 5 FIRE monsters in your Graveyard": * This is not treated as an effect. (A Chain Link is not built when Special Summoning this way.) * You can only Special Summon this card by the method written in the text. It cannot be Special Summoned by the effects of other cards.
【Regarding the ① effect】
This is a Trigger Effect that can be activated in the Monster Zone.
If the effect successfully destroys the targeted monster, you then perform the action "both players take damage equal to half that monster's original ATK." (These are treated as occurring simultaneously.)
The damage taken from this effect is equal to half the ATK value listed on the destroyed card. If a monster with ? ATK is destroyed, the action "inflict damage equal to that value" is not performed.
Even if a face-down Defense Position monster is destroyed, both players take damage equal to half that monster's original ATK.
【Regarding the ② effect】
This effect is not classified as an Ignition Effect, Trigger Effect, Quick Effect, or Continuous Effect. (It is applied without forming a Chain Link when this card leaves the field.)
This is also applied if this card, while face-up on the field, is returned to the Deck or banished face-down.
This is also applied if this card, while face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone, leaves the field.
This is not applied if this card becomes an Xyz Material, or if this card is detached as an Xyz Material.
