The effect "①: Monsters you control gain 300 ATK during your turn, and 300 DEF during your opponent's turn" is an effect that does not start a Chain.

This effect is applied to all monsters in the Monster Zone of the player who activated "Barrier of the Arcane Light" that are face-up. (It is not applied to monsters in the opponent's Monster Zone.)

During the turn of the player who activated "Barrier of the Arcane Light," their monsters gain 300 ATK (they do not gain DEF). Also, during the opponent's turn, their monsters gain 300 DEF (they do not gain ATK).

While "Barrier of the Arcane Light" is being applied, when the turn progresses from your turn to your opponent's turn, or from your opponent's turn to your turn, the ATK or DEF increase is applied immediately. (No Chain is built.)
